Reviews summary

Electra House offers a mixed dining experience, with some patrons expressing disappointment in the uneven and unappetizing nature of the dishes served. Complaints ranged from poorly executed seafood stew and lackluster duck ragu to subpar service and rude bar staff. However, others found the venue to be a great spot for lunch or dinner, praising the ambiance, friendly service, and delicious food options like the beef burger and barramundi. Overall, the restaurant seems to have some hits and misses, making it a mixed bag for potential diners.

Was Anonym at Electra House a mag?

Just a word of caution: the pork bits can be quite juicy, so be careful. They have a tendency to overflow, so it’s best to let them cool a bit before taking a big bite. Also, keep in mind that the food takes some time to prepare, so be prepared for a wait. The portion sizes are on the smaller side, so if you're a big eater or very hungry, this might not be the best place for you. View all feedback.

What Kaelyn Rice dislikes about Electra House:

Disgraced and humiliated while going to Electra bar.Went to Electra bar with a group of friends and was rejected entry. When the bouncer was approached to why he didn't have anything to say but made silly excuses like your top button not done up , short sleeve shirt - yet there where people in there with shorts, t-shirts and sport shoes. When I done my top button up he told me too late. Those that passed the 'inspect... View all feedback.

The food here is absolutely delicious! I tried the vegetarian options, including the snowed corn and chargrilled eggplant in tea broth, which were stunning dishes! My partner ordered the meat options, and they looked so good that I almost wished I had chosen them too! The staff was excellent as well. It's no surprise that this place receives such rave reviews!

We had a family dinner at Level One with 10 people last night, and it was fantastic. The new menu is outstanding, featuring incredibly fresh seafood, with the oysters being some of the best I've ever had—all at a very reasonable price. The service was excellent; the staff were knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. I can’t wait to go back!

We had a family dinner at level one last night and were amazed at the high quality food that was very reasonably priced. I love the concept of shared plated food as it puts everyone at the table on the same culinary journey x The service we received was fabulous, all staff were very warm n friendly. We WILL be back! I loved the Teusners Shiraz

This is my first time here on a The Fork special, and I wasn’t sure what to expect but was very pleased by the airy, casual feel of the restaurant. The big windows let light stream in and the tables were nicely spaced with tables for 2 under the windows, and tables for 4 and more arranged around the room. The menu was what I’d term Asian fusion divided into small, medium and large plates for sharing. Service was professional and unobtrusive with knowledgeable wait staff. There was only 2 of us for lunch, and we were hungry but had small appetites and needed to leave room for dessert, so ordered 1 selection from each of the 3 categories to start with hopes that we could fit in another choice. Sadly, it was not to be. We thoroughly enjoyed the scallop sashimi with super fresh slices of raw scallop dressed in a citrusy yuzu and soy sauce topped with black tobiko. Very pretty and yummy. The BBQ South Australian baby octopus was a disappointment as it was very chewy, almost like trying to chew rubber bands. If we were not dining on a special I would probably have sent it back. The Thai inspired spice sauce, however, was very good nicely balanced flavours with a chilli kick. The vegetable tempura from the “large” category was suitably large with a selection of broccoli, mushrooms, baby corn, pumpkin, eggplant and sweet potato. This is how tempura ought to be with a non oily, light as air crispy batter. Compliments to the chef! We were glad a reserved room for desserts as they delighted the eye and taste buds. The coconut cream brûlée was a rich and creamy sorbet served with a counterpoint of spiced pineapple pieces and tiny dollops of a goldy brown sauce that I couldn’t quite identify passion fruit? Fig? The Calpis jelly with freeze dried berries and fresh passion fruit was lemony and a very refreshing end to a delicious lunch. Thank you.

The staff were wonderful and so helpful when it came to trying to narrow down which dishes to try. Helped us to choose the perfect dishes for all of our different tastes and dietary needs! Every single dish was a hit, from the spicy pork to the tempura veg to the dumplings to the hummus and freshly cooked pita. DELICIOUS! The cocktails were impeccable too!

Had lunch and ordered the wontons which where great, the char grilled octopus, which was barely char grilled, that was average. The pork rib, which was disappointing, the serve was too big, too rich, not enjoyable at all. We also ordered the tempura vegetables, the serving size was also too large. They then had side plates as the dinner plate. Not sure why, but made our experience not one we would rush back for.

Lots of deliciousness for our group snow corn was a hit, the tempura veg were crisp and light, tom yum veg had great flavours, and the pork sanga was fun and tasty! Service was great one member of our party has an allergy, and this was taken seriously, and suitable recommendations made.

Great place for a quick lunch in the city. The “bar” on the ground floor is a pleasant, light area with the very high ceilings and huge windows of a bygone era. Food was much better than we expected. Service with a smile was polite, friendly and helpful. Impressed with the beef burger which was slightly pink in the centre as befits a gourmet burger and juicy, but without juices leaking messily everywhere. Fried chicken and chips were superbly deep fried leaving not a speck of oil on the greaseproof paper lining the serving basket.

Beautiful large open dining area with open kitchen and reception. Would recommend the omakase for the first time customers. We had a beautiful jubilee dinner with a quiet evening that woke up when the night went on. The waiters were elegant and very helpful, with the manager always looking for everything every tablet needs. Definitely a return customer. Look at the fork specialties for a bargain!

Everyone was really looking forward to dinner here but everyone left disappointed and also hungry. After we had been seated for about 30 minutes the staff came and told us that it was a banquet style and that we should all order a few meals each and then share. We ordered approximately 3 meals between two people but there was not enough food to share. There was not even enough food on the plate to serve a single person which was ridiculous for the price we paid. Even after we had ordered more food and spent a lot of money all of the guests were still hungry. Upon eating the barramundi I had ordered, the staff tried to take away the plate 3 times when i was still eating which became very...read more

A happy, lively and passing little place is that. polite and scientific staff. warm ambiente and excellent aperitifs we had the gin, my gin and this pink drink quite amazing and tasty. we had for the starter edamame and then, the spicy Korean pork was made perfect, the side of the fresh beet root kimchi was also thrown at point, each taste pod. black angus ridge and a side of the carburetor was just as delicious and simply perfected in a bowl. we recommend this place of delicacies on king williams st. they won't be disappointed, I guarantee.

We went to the G/F electra house on Thursday when they made half the price on chicken dishes and $1 wings. I think I had previously written an evaluation on 1/F, where I had said that the chicken wings are the best, and yes, they are really for dying! They were sticky, sweet, spicy, crisp and so juicy I would have eaten a dozen easy, but I also wanted to try the deep fried chicken. these evil young were not disappointed! They were also so tasteful and crispy! one of my friends had the efc chicken burger they really enjoyed, but said she would prefer if the cheese would melt and if she was given a whole chicken breast instead of pieces of fried chickens. I really enjoyed it...read more

Friendly staff, beautiful ambiente, great cocktails, eating was a bit bland, and there was not enough bark in the beef-bresket dish. Korean chicken wings were excellent
