read moreUpon revisiting a beloved local spot after many years, one customer was met with mixed feelings of southern hospitality and unwelcoming service. A mix-up with an order and rude interaction left a sour taste in their mouth, leading to a disappointing 1-star review. Another longtime customer expressed disappointment in the quality of their subs on a recent visit, hoping it was just a one-time slip. A once-favorite restaurant that had been frequented by families in the past was found to be run down and serving subpar food, resulting in a decision not to return. A previous 5-star experience turned into a near 1-star rating for another patron, with the flavor of the food not living up to expectations. Despite the inconsistent food quality, the sweet tea continues to impress. On a positive note, one reviewer was delighted with a large pizza that provided excellent value for the price and left a pleasant aftertaste. While opinions on the Lyons Den restaurant are mixed, the friendly service and tasty Stromboli are highlighted as positive aspects.
