Very good food and service in a nicely restored early 1900's home along Main street. Whether you're in Abingdon for the Barter or at the Martha it's only a 5 min walk away. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Peppermill:
a group of 8 friends dined in the peppermill. those who have ordered pasta enjoyed their meal. I ordered the “Pork medallions”, which were actually 2 big black laces. they were overcooked and quite dry. even the mushroom engraving on the tubers had dried out. very disappointed by the presentation and preparation of the meat. I've been in the opposite for a few years and wanted to try this place after I heard it was great. absolutely disappointing! it was a Pokchop sandwich. the meat was cut into strips and kept falling out of the broth. if they don't have it, they don't try to use something wrong
Great dining experience! Food was good. The Pumpkin Pie Martini was AMAZING! Staff was very friendly and doing a great job
What a wonderful place. Service and atmosphere are awesome. The food is truly delicious! We will surely be back soon. Highly recommend.
Ate here for lunch on a girls trip. This is in a beautiful old historic house. Each room is decorated differently and are unique. Love the atmosphere. On a recommendation we had the mushroom curry orange marmalade soup, which sounds strange but it SO good. The table next to us drives there from 2 hours away just for the soup! We had food service and they even had a gluten free menu with multiple options. Highly recommended!
The restaurant has some challenges. We discovered an alternate menu. However, if they don't offer something you want (like fried oysters), they'll let you know when they're offering it again. (Fast forward,, they have unbelievable oysters. For first time in my life, I'm now interested in trying steamed oysters Their butters and remoulades are out of this world. The visual of this historical building is beautiful. And the food is professional/ upscale quality and flavors. .. Oh. My. Goodness !We had a garlic bread, salad, potato soup, dessert, coffee first time. The soup and French bread were the stars.. (How can you elevate French garlic bread?! IDK but they did. I had fried oysters and salad the second time. The oysters alone, as well as the roulalade was excellent. The oysters were also VERY reasonably priced.
