I was looking for something to fill my stomach, and I noticed a delicious looking udon restaurant so I decided to go in. The udon noodles were of medium thickness with a great texture, easy to chew yet satisfying. The tempura was also fried to perfection and very tasty. I was surprised to find a wild vegetable called "kogomi" in the tempura, and when I asked the owner about it, he told me they had pickled it in salt. However, the tempura tasted so fresh, like it had just been picked. It's no wonder they operate near the world heritage site of Koetsuji. Highly recommended.
A visit to a very traditional Japanese restaurant specializing in udon dishes. The shop is run by only one grandmother. The taste is traditional Japanese. It is really convenient to visit temples with vegetarian mountain vegetable udon.
