It's nice to stop by for a rest on the way back while admiring the Golden Hall. If the weather is good, you should be able to take a break in the midst of a fantastic view. And for some reason, they really push the natural yams here.

They also serve coffee and zenzai (sweet red... read more This restaurant is located in a hidden place behind Chusonji. The main dishes are soba and Jinenjo (a type of yam). They also serve coffee and zenzai (sweet red bean soup). You order and pay at the counter first, then wait at your table while they bring your meal by calling out the number. The view from here is very nice. The pizza with Jinenjo is better than cheese. It's a size that two people can share. They also served Hounen tea from Chusonji and karinto manju as a snack. The staff are all friendly and left a good impression.
