Subsolo, a popular Spanish restaurant in Sydney, has unfortunately closed its doors for good. Many loyal customers have been left disappointed by recent changes in both the menu and management, leading to a decline in the quality of food and overall dining experience. Complaints about underwhelming portion sizes, lackluster presentation, and inconsistent dishes have been prevalent. Despite these negative reviews, some diners have still praised the restaurant for its attentive service, cozy atmosphere, and tasty tapas options. A friend recommended this restaurant for the location and at the beginning were reluctant to go because the Spanish restaurants in Sydney do not endow with very good reputation, only to say that it surprised us a lot !! the food was delicious, everything had a lot of flavor and it shows that it was of quality, it caught our attention that some dishes had fusion with Oriental products, this combination seemed to us ve... What IBaldwin dislikes about Subsolo:
Sadly this place has shut for good. It was a great restaurant but not anymore. There is another great tapas bar in North Sydney that I can recommend. It is called Delicado Foods Wines, McMahons Point 134 Blues Point Road, McMahons Point, Sydney. View all feedback.
Fantastic restaurant, really love the atmosphere. Food r presentable, but very small. Taste is good, especially seafood paella, amazing.
A friend mentioned going out to a Spanish place the other night and it just stuck in my mind so went through Zomato to find a good place above 3.5 in the
Many people pass this restaurant daily, without realizing! In any case, a twist on everyday life to try Spanish cuisine and not disappointed. The Paella was delicious and made in 20 minutes, which is pretty coupled for the slow cooked food. The ambience was weakly lit and romantic, but at the same time suitable for a workload or with narrow friends.
The service was great, the restaurant had a charming atmosphere and the food was delicious. It's a good spot for hanging out with friends or going on a date. The location is convenient, so make sure to book ahead. The prices are affordable and I will definitely be returning.
Subsolo is a Spanish tapas restaurant located in Sydney's CBD. I recently visited to celebrate a friend's birthday, as he was craving paella. While most of the food was delicious as always, the paella was just average. The wait staff were friendly and they make a fantastic sangria.
