Very good customer service and food came out quick. Wait is not too long on a tuesday night. We got a ramen each and popcorn octopus to share br/ The noodles were chewy and aldente, just how i like it. Broth is rich but not too salty and the egg was very delicious. br/ The drinks list is very extensive. br/ The chashu was a bit fragile, almost lost my piece midway. br/ br/ The price, however, didnt justify the por... What mrdom dislikes about Ippudo:
Went for the $10 1st of the month special and they made a big thing out of getting you to use the table QR code, so they could charge fees and so that the only $10 ramen available would be the most basic. I went inside to use cash and because you could get any ramen and they lied about what was available on the app. It might be ok if the ramen was as good as it used to be but it was vey bland ramen with just one slic... I went inside to use cash and because you could get any ramen and they lied about what was available on the app. It might be ok if the ramen was as good as it used to be but it was vey bland ramen with just one slice of chewy pork. Fast track to the bottom of the ramen chain.
One may always feel its unlikely any international 'chain ' can deliver consistent quality--this belief is in place because we already know its unlikely to be achieved with any Australian F B endeavor., so it was that today, somewhat fearful of the worst, I braved passing through the doors of the nicely sited spaciously set up IPPODO at Central Park. I was seated with a direct uninterrupted view of a lousy set of gas cylinders+general back room stuff in a room whose doorway any decent manager should NEVER allow be left able to be seen by any client seated in the restaurant. I ordered one of their superior sic offerings that had a nicer cut of pork belatedly realising I 'd set myself up for a VERY expensive ramen lunch indeed by coming here the basic bowl, without extras, was $24!!! ..I decided to go for broke have the $1 extras ,, ON TOP of the $24! . . they being just 3 slices of seaweed+ one so-called seasoned egg ?uh? +2 extra slices of pork. Thank heavens I went for broke..the dish was quite ordinary value-wise worth barely half the money asked. There are MANY places in Sydney charging far less yet delivering a far better ramen dare I say it , more authentically handsome/richly satisfying than what 's being served here...... Attentive thoughtful service sure...but my honest tip is : every first day of the month ...they serve a choice of one of two ramen for just $10 each....that in fact is all it is worth! that 's THE ONLY day you should ever go here. The ONLY!
This Ippudo branch has become a huge disappointment. The signature Shiromaru Tomago was so avearge during this visit. Thin, watery broth without much pork flavour, the noodles were cool and did not blend well at all. The big slap in the face was the one, smaller than my hand thin slice of Pork Loin. This for $18 for a small bowl. For any more pork they would have slugged me another $5. Very minimal toppings in the bowl throughout. I was stunned at how average this was. Possibly the most ordinary ramen I have had anywhere. This is the third (and worst) time I have had such an average ramen here. Time to forgo Ippudo, there are so many better ramen places in Sydney now that offer reasonable size bowls with more toppings, flavour and consistency at a decent price.

The price was higher than average, but i wasnt completely full, also thought the ramen would come with bamboo shoots and nori, like others with similar price points, but they are add ons, and would be too expensive.
The food was great but service was a bit unfriendly towards my group upon arrival.
