Rio Bar, is a nice little bar in the city center, ideal for meeting people before you on somewhere else, where all kinds of young and old, to do the well and not so mix and chat on small tables, or at the small bar. The bar is run by a strictly looking Swiss woman, but once you get to know her, she is a good fun and has a good sense of humor. Has a good selection of spirits and aperitifs on the show, and not such a great selection of beer, really only the local stuff. I ordered a large glass of brick yard, a beer from Liestal directly on the street of Basel. It was okay, actually, I had about three of them. Not strong and went well. One of my favorite bars in the city, small and cozy and really a great place to relax after a hard day.
It is one of the unique bars that close later in Basel. if you want to drink a beer at midnight, this is the place
Charged me $5 for still water. Two drinks and water were $33 francs. Bad news. Food: 1 Service: 1 Price per person: CHF 10–20
The Rio Bar exudes charm. It feels like stepping into a cozy yet lively living room. Whether catching art in the art box or soaking in the chatter of a multigenerational crowd, this place is loaded with community warmth. The drinks were great and the owner was charming. I highly recommend this lovely establishment. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
