Unfortunately very disappointing! We expected something different from this restaurant. We had the veal slices with hash browns twice. The hash brown was dry, had an odd taste, the veggies just pulled out of the water.....everything was bland and lacked flavor. Missing decoration on the plate. Value for money not met. We had a good meal there 2 years ago.
Absolutely perfect meal of traditional Engadine dishes try the Zuozer Hay Soup (yes, it is actual soup of hay) which was delicious, fragrant and a new experience! The rosti was also amazing, even the standard kids meals were beautifully cooked. The service was excellent, our waiter went to extra trouble to entertain the kids with magic tricks and a secret door with a slide down to the cellar! The building has a fascinating history too we felt like we had learned a lot about the history of Zuoz and the Engadine. Prices are as expected for the area but worth every penny. Kid friendliness: Really well set up and waiter was also a great entertainer of the kids! Parking: Plenty of spaces outside along the road.

When we walked into the restaurant, we were amazed by all the relics from the older times. The food and service were amazing. The owner even gave us a tour along with a history lesson. This is a must when you are in SWITZERLAND.
We had a dinner reservation at 9pm and we had to wait one hour standing and another hour at the table to get some food. At the end it became a joke as there where so many empty tables and we were still waiting. Food is not incredible, only the place is nice. I am very sorry to write a bad review but being an Engadin lover I really don't think that this type of service should be present in this stunning area.
As most have noted, the setting in the former stall is very nice. Unfortunately that was the best part. Our food came very quickly which was a bit of a red flag. Each dish seemed to have been composed of prepared elements and then reheated. My roesti was still cold and the potatoes were not bound together as with good traditional roesti. The service was also rather unorganized. At one point one of the servers came over and gave us some drop stoppers (we didn’t have a bottle of wine) and asked us if we’d like to order some food we’d already eaten. Overall a disappointing experience which was not comparable to those we’ve had in the past.
This former barn turned restaurant has an immense amount of charm and character. And it is also a perfect spot to try local Engadiner specialties, like the Zuozer krautpizokels, a gnocchi-style dish with cabbage and bacon. It sounds heavier than it actually is and they also serve it in a smaller portion. If the weather allows, best to sit on the huge terrace in front of the restaurant and enjoy the view of the surrounding beautiful mountains.
In the 15th century it was a stable. Now redone in restaurant de charme. The speciality grigionesi are carrot and ginger soup. Zuppa di fieno hoy soup), spaetzle with cabbage and rosted bacon. I caponetti are spinach gnocchi grating with melted cheese. Engadine deer sausage is delicious. As well escalope di capriolo with cassis sauce and butter handmade.

Had lunch there several times the past weeks, great outside terrasse, delicious food, friendly staff! Can only recommend!
A hidden gem in the middle of the Swiss Alps! The location is decorated in an old barn, beautiful with interesting ornaments and a secret slide to a super secret cellar area. They are constantly bambared with small views of the Alps through the windows and wooden panels... what a pleasure! The food is tastefully cooked that compliments beautiful with the local wine. In the end, the chestnut cake went down a leak! Don't miss... try it and you'll see.

Really good, traditional engadina cuisine. The venison and the fondue were excellent. I'm looking forward to the next time!
