The menu is interesting with an emphasis on local produce and one of their specialities is their cockerel roasted to perfection and served whole allowing you to carve as you wish, ideal!

They will bring you a sort of dirty water which tastes like dirty water.

The Blasenberg is one of the most traditional restaurants in Zug, The house special is the Capon from their local farm, served with delicious risotto and crispy... read more The Blasenberg is one of the most traditional restaurants in Zug, The house special is the Capon from their local farm, served with delicious risotto and crispy fries. However, they also have a very good à la carte menu in case someone does not like chicken. My mom had lamb (also from the local farm) which was excellent. Important to note is that the Capon needs to be ordered 1 day in advance and is only served inside the restaurant and not on the terrace. As the weather was beautiful and sunny we moved outside for desserts so that we could enjoy the beautiful views over the city of Zug. If you don't like the steep drive up the Zugerberg side, then take the easier way via Allenwinden.

The food was very tasty and the service was excellent. The view from the outdoor terrace is just breathtaking. Recommended.
