We stayed at the Schweitzerhof hotel for 5 days and as the food in The Kitchen was so good we ended up eating there twice. Nice athmosphere in the restaurant, v... read more We stayed at the Schweitzerhof hotel for 5 days and as the food in The Kitchen was so good we ended up eating there twice. Nice athmosphere in the restaurant, very friendly and attentive service and really good food. And according to Zermatt and Swiss standards, this wasn´t even overly priced. Cannot wait to be back!

There is a liv... read more The Kitchen at Schweizerhof is an unusual, unique and fun restaurant in Zermatt, something different than the regular Fondue and Raclette places. There is a live DJ and the atmosphere is vibrant and relaxed. The bar offers a wide range of delicious drinks. Along with that comes a comforting cuisine with pizza, steaks and fish dishes. Not spectacular but solid. Service is busy but nice and helpful. I would definitely come back.

We were greeted by the very friendl... read more We found this resturant by chance the night before when we had already eaten but we popped in to see what the menu was like. We were greeted by the very friendly manager who showed us to some seats to look at the menu. The following evening we returned to the resturant and enjoyed a lovely meal with friendly attentive staff. The resturant has great ambience, the food was very well presented and the deserts, although quite expensive were amazing.We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and we will certainly return when we come back to Zermatt.

While she was friendly during the rare times she came to our table there was not much visiting ourtable. Too bad as you excpect more than at your favourite pizza restaurant!!!
