Prato Borni was a last minute choice after one of the Michellin star restaurants in Zermatt was fully booked and the other one was closed for the season. We were looking for a culinary experience and we got more than what we expected. The food, service and ambience is AS GOOD as any Michellin star restaurant we've been to. Experimental succulent combinations with local produce and very aesthetic presentation. Super e... View all feedback.
What Markus Walker doesn't like about Brasserie Lusi:
The famous style of terrible foam restaurant. A "Want to be restaurant"...nothing especial, besides the hotel. There are soo many good restaurants to go in Zermatt, don't waste your time and money on this terrible option.expensive and not good at all. View all feedback.
One of the best fondue restaurants in Switzerland in the Zermatterhof hotel many different possibilities of fondue and raclette
First the restaurant deserves high accents for flexibility. because of a change of our plans we have shown up a night early for our reservation, and with only our planned the restaurant is popular, so we were pleasantly surprised when they found us. a quiet table without waiting. the manager (sophie) took care of everything and ended up leading us professionally through our entire meal. for the starters we had the mixed salat (big, colorful and extremely fresh), the Wallisan wine soup (my sohn became more familiar on this trip and the walliser specialities (a delicious teller tender cheese). for the main course there was only one choice in our heads the fondue! we chose the trufflefondue and added dried meat. it was spectacular. the best fondue we ever had. my daughter always said how she could not go back to fondue that she had done with her university mates. after that we have smeared the la religieuse (the nonne) the burned part of the bottom of the fondue pot delicious. for dessert...again...fondue this time, toblerone fondue with assorted obst and rubber bears. delicious. all this was done with sophies choice (the homemade cinnamon plumb aperitif des managers, which was quite smooth, non-too strong and a beautiful end to a great night. sophie and team at saycheese! for a wonderful evening great food, great service, great fondue training. can't wait to come back!
We loved the restaurant! A must-try! The food was all excellent, the Truffle Fondue out of this world!! Excellent! The service was very good! Sophia was super helpful, smiling, welcoming and gave us the best recommendations! The ambiance was very nice! We loved it!
Definitely must visit when in Zermatt. The fondue was delicious, and the service was outstanding. We were some of the first people in the restaurant when it opened. Even as it filled up, the atmosphere remained cozy and quiet.
We enjoyed our stay in lusi in full! In the afternoon we relaxed on the inviting terrace with a cup of coffee with magnificent views of the matthorn. from the service we were particularly enthusiastic: sympathetic and very attentive without being intrusive. together with the subtle bar music everything was perfect and harmonious. after this beautiful afternoon the crowning came in the evening. my man and I had ordered us a multi-course menue that doesn't wish to read openly. it was just delicious, e.g. salade nicoise with marinated tuna and the wolfsbarschfilet with limetterisotto (see pictures)We are happy to come back to lusi!
