Friendly and efficient staff. We had the fondue Chinoise. Meat was of very good quality. Sides though were a little cheap , straight out of a can. Atmosphere is great and we had a really good time there. Book in advance as the place is tiny and popular. View all feedback.
What Geoff Ebb doesn't like about Schaeferstube:
Not sure why all the hype. The cheese in the fondue was good, so not a 1 star review. Other than that, the bread was stale, and the rest of the meal was extremely bland. Overpriced! View all feedback.

We made a reservation....but not at this restaurant. Our mistake, but the hostess was totally accommodating, despite the restaurant being quite crowded. I had the Ruccolacreme-Suppe (Arugula Cream Soup) which was very good. My wife tried the Raclette (A traditional Swiss dish described on a Google search as based on heating cheese and scraping off the melted part, then typically served with boiled potatoes. Wasn 't sure what to expect, but it was excellent. For our mains, we had the Fondue Bourguinonne and the Fondue Chinoise (3 different meats-veal, pork and beef). Hard to choose which was better, but both were delicious. They came with 5 different dipping sauces. A very fun dinner!
Great authentic Swiss food, rustic atmosphere excellent service. We have felt very comfortable here. Price and performance very good. Be sure to reserve in advance as we do. Small, cute restaurant with few seats. No tourist or mass processing. All around top!
Here the guest is king, from the boss to the waiter, everyone strives to pamper you!!!
