Arrived at 430pm and was greeted by who I assume to be the owner who was r... read more Took a nice walk up from Zermatt (30~mins) as I didn’t have much planned for the day. Arrived at 430pm and was greeted by who I assume to be the owner who was really friendly and brought me to a seat immediately. Had a friendly chat with him about the menu with their specials and eventually ended up ordering the veal knuckle with saffron risotto. He brought my beer out and some bread while my food was prepared. Food was amazing. It was one of the best meals I had in Switzerland so far and will definitely return when I come to Zermatt in the future. Even though the view of the Matterhorn was obstructed due to the clouds, it was still a great experience nonetheless. Also for fit travelers, I highly recommend hiking down the path behind the restaurant back to Zermatt as it provides a great view of the surroundings. The path is rocky and steep so take note before you try it out.

What a beautiful place to be, with a stunning view and a friendly staff...just place you want to stay when enjoying the mountains...These are just some snapshots from the day! Recommended for a party!!!

Luckily for him, at least he has friendly service
