The first time I ate here, I was amazed by the quality of the food --- recommended by a Summit Ski School instructor.We came back again this year and found the... read more The first time I ate here, I was amazed by the quality of the food --- recommended by a Summit Ski School instructor.We came back again this year and found the experience better than ever.I started with the daily soup -- a rich, creamy broth filled with barley. My main dish was a daily special-- truffle risotto with rock lobster-- exquisite. The quantity of fresh truffle shavings was very generous. Paired with a local Valais wine (a Heida) this was one of my best meals on the mountain. Whether eating inside this charming chalet or outside on the (hopefully) sunny terrace, the service is friendly and efficient.If there isn't enough snow to ski down from Furi, leave your skis behind, take the elevator from Furi station and walk a few steps to the restaurant.We will be back!
