The two kids were getting hangry (hungry angry), and we couldn't seem to find a suitable restaurant on the slope. Zermatt seems to be a meat-loving kinda town. We stumbled onto this...unassuming place, to the left of a downhill, as we were about to give up and eat at the base. Luckily, we stopped to check it out. The view and the food was amazing salat geisskaese, salat wildlachs, nudeli alaska, and don't miss Betty's apfelkuche for dessert. Yes, the water was expensive (referring to another review). But as a friendly reminder, this is in the middle of a ski hill, and they have to use snowmobiles to get food and crew up and down the mountain. So one should expect a premium. This was probably the best ski mountain meal we have eaten, either in the Alps or the Rockies.
