While the location is great, beautiful and idyllic. That 's essentially the good part. Our room looked like a very poor render of the pictures online, and felt more like a prison cell rather than a pleasant place to stay. The 'coffee machine ' advertised was a kettle and cheap instant coffee. The WiFi (as advertised) was... Nowhere seemingly. As were the staff, non existent... Never saw a soul that worked there. We recently had the Sunday seafood buffet lunch. We spent a wonderful afternoon there the buffet was scrumptious and hats off to the musician who kept us entertained, and was later joined by the hostess for a few awesome duets. Great views and friendly staff. It was a bit expensive but an absolute treat for a special occasion or when you need a pick me up. Be sure to book ahead. They have space for large groups too and some space for kids to wander about.
Booked via WhatsApp a week prior to our visit and confirmed they would be open on the public holiday and got confirmation of my reservation. After driving 1 1/2 hours from Cape Town we got there and there was absolutely nobody around nobody at reception and no staff. I called to find out what was going on and was told they were not aware of my booking just don’t understand how you can be in the service industry and get the basics so wrong. Service: 1 Location: 1
Staff helpful and friendly we wanted our room changed and it was done no questions asked beautiful venue
Such a great experience. Food great. Will definitely go again.
