With pretty much zero competition in York, the rec centre is easily the best place to go for a pint. Its perfect for the family with a kids play area and reasonably priced food.If you're the active type you can go there and engage in all manner of sports and physical activities but when there's cold beers on tap I think energy spent on anything else is wasted View all feedback.

We had a wonderful dining experience last night. The staff and venue were fantastic. We will definitely be returning in the future.
A big thank you to the Forrest Bar and Cafe team for the fantastic meal and service for the York Seniors Mobility Group Christmas break up. A most enjoyable experience.
Excellent amenities available on site for those attending the York Motorcycle Festival (camping was allowed for the weekend). Rec centre has a bar and restaurant set up
