At this York-based Chinese restaurant, diners have encountered a stark divide between exceptional and disappointing experiences. Many loyal patrons praise the restaurant for its consistently delicious food, generous portions, and timely delivery, often highlighting favorites like chow mein. However, a growing number of reviews recount frustrating incidents, including cold meals, late deliveries, and subpar service, leaving some customers feeling unheard and dissatisfied. While the menu appeals to many, reliability issues raise concerns over whether this establishment can maintain its reputation. Ultimately, it stands as a place to consider cautiously—savoring the good while bracing for the not-so-good.

Not great. Ordered a delivery that took 90 minutes despite a chasing call. Food was very average. And not good value for the price. A pity. But it was edible so we’ve had worse.
I am thoroughly disappointed with our order tonight. It took two hours to arrive, and when it finally did, the food was simply terrible. My daughter ordered roast chicken, but the gravy accompanying it was dark brown, watery, and had the smell of old cooking oil. My partner's prawn chow mein arrived looking like a cold brick straight from the container. My chicken curry could have been decent if it had been served warm, and the chips were completely inedible. My son's chicken with plum sauce was also cold, and the sauce was incredibly watery. The complimentary spring rolls felt like chewing on a cardboard tube from a pack of Smarties. The prawn sesame toast was so greasy that it could have been used to lubricate my van. In summary, I would strongly advise against ordering from this place until they can figure out how to prepare a proper takeaway.
Always order from here: never had bad meal and Evan this time food was beautiful! Evan after waiting 2 an half hours pre ordering food it still tasted good but gutted as we had to rearrange plans as it wasn’t on time: food was gorgeous when came but not sure I can risk it again either sort out drivers or you will lose a very good customer: x
The food and service were absolutely terrible. The delivery was over 45 minutes late for a local order, and the driver didn’t apologize. I couldn’t reach the takeaway, and JustEat was also unable to contact them for more than 20 minutes. Some of the food wasn't cooked properly, and the dishes that were cooked had a horrible burnt or chemical taste.
It only gets 1 star because they found the house 1hr after ordering. The food was cold when it arrived (shop is 5 miles away so should 've been at least warm). We spent £20, the only food that tasted of anything at all was the crispy seaweed . Mixed starters, you get more that also taste better from a very well known shop for £3!! Main of mixed seafood udon noodles, the few bits of seafood (4 and a bit pieces) were so chewy that they were like chewing gristle and the masses of noodles had no taste at all. We had heard good things about this chinese so rang them to say that we thought it was under par and all their reply was thats how it is and then they put the phone down. Definitely the 1st and last time we will order from here and NOT GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY, staff couldn 't be bothered.
