It was a very busy Saturday evening but we had booked a tab... read more Visited Haxby for the weekend and decided to try Paddyfields after a recommendation… so glad we did. It was a very busy Saturday evening but we had booked a table. On arrival the table wasn’t quite ready as the previous occupants were just finishing. We were given a menu and asked to wait 5 mins. My friend has mobility issues so I asked for a chair for her… the staff were brilliant and fetched a stool for her as every seat was taken. Within a few mins we were shown to our table and our order taken. The staff kept checking in with us and were so polite and cheerful. The food was something else…. Huge portions and absolutely delicious. My salt and pepper squid starter would have fed 3 people…. I had to admit defeat and asked for it to be boxed up for me to take away. We had a great evening with superb food and service. Would thoroughly recommend

The service was spot on, attentive timely. This restaurant offers a lovely experience at great value for money. Thank you, we all had a brilliant evening.

The restaurant is small but not crowded. Extensive menu with good variety of choices. Will definitely go back and highly recommend for a really good Chinese meal.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, especially set menu C. We particularly enjoy the pekkng hot sour soup, and the fact that the banquet allows you to choose your own mains, which allows for greater options to enjoy on the menu!
