I or... read more We stumbled upon this food truck in a horse box today and tried what was quite possibly the best Yorkshire pudding I have ever had (and I have had many! ). I ordered the Heathcliffe, which was a delicious Yorkshire pudding filled with spinach leaves, ham hock, a poached egg, all topped with a creamy cheese sauce and sprinkled with chives. The high quality of the ingredients was apparent and the portion size was very generous, providing good value for the money. A visit to York wouldn't be complete without trying a Yorkshire pudding, and this food truck is the perfect place to indulge in one of the best. Don't hesitate, go and try it for yourself!

Instead of serving it in a traditional cone, they molded it in the shape of a rose and added some garnish to create the "Tudor Rose." It was delicious! I stumbled upon Daft Puddin' while looking for lunch at The Shambles Market, and Chef Jason's trailer caught my eye. I explored all the vendors but kept coming back to his stall for the unique ingredients he used. For my main course, I tried the "Mighty Moors," which featured Hogget from the Yorkshire moors with North African spices. Chef Jason's storytelling as he cooked made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, the food was very tasty.

We were impressed by the high quality of ingredients and the attention to detail in preparing our food. Despite trying other great eat-in restaurants, this place served us the best food we had in York. Don't hesitate to give it a try! You won't be disappointed.

This is... read more I originally chose to give Daft Puddin a go because of the name but the food genuinely surprised me, the menu is awesome, and our puddings were sublime. This is not just a gimmick of lunch in a Yorkshire pudding , the fillings were well thought out and all looked incredible. Also the first plastic packaging free street food lunch I have been able to buy this year! I urge you to give it a go!
