You need to be a member or friend of a member to dine here. You must also abide by a dress code which includes no denim. I came here regularly for two years but in the end it became impossible to enjoy the food here. Firstly, it is only open for lunches and Friday nights - not really enough to pay the high yearly membership. Always enjoy eating here. Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, good food, reasonable prices and plenty of parking.
I had lunch at the Royal Canberra Golf Club with work colleagues. What a delightful setting overlooking the golf course. Lunch was very tasty (we all had burgers) and I thought it was good value. It was lovely also not to have any mobile phone interruptions (they need to be on silent or turned off). I would happily return.
Food excellent, not your usual club fare. Staff courteous, on open on Friday nights. Do they accept walk in guests, not sure

I was so embarrassed for bringing my guests here and none of them are interested in coming back. Not recommended.

Generally the food and prices are very good and I like the way you can have a "small plate" for lunch. This is a great size - larger than an entree but smaller than a main. The menu is also varied and there are usually some daily specials. The problem lately is that the restaurant is cold. The AC doesn't work properly. Otherwise I'd give it 5 stars.
