So good, I have to go again next week. The tasting platter - complete with a sizeable chunk of slow roasted lamb and another of pork - just outstanding. Followed by a thoughtful selection of four 'bites' of desserts, Black Fire has the whole 'let's do lunch' thing down. Solid service was also a big bonus - fast, polite and helpful. Been here 4 times and everytime is a charm.. great service and good ambience.. delicious and large portion sizes.. I have tried the chef's tasting menu and also had a la carte few times!!! Well deserved awards to BF.. wish u'l win many more!!!
I had my 30th birthday dinner here last night. It was excellent! We had a large group of 15, and while the staff were worried that we would be waiting a long time for our meals, the timing of the food arrival was perfect for our conversations. And the food had so much flavour and was tender and juicy. We were so full afterwards, but we wishes we could have eaten more! And what was best was, even after a few bottles of wine among us, it wasn't that expensive overall either! I absolutely recommend to anyone and I will be back!
One of the best restaurants in Canberra. Superb food, smooth and friendly service. Absolutely recommend the degustation!
Had scrumptious meals. We picked some sort of deal and the food kept coming to the table. Didn't leave a single bit. Ate it all. Finishing it off with their dessert platter, was just heavenly. Two waiters that were appointed to our table were very friendly too. Must visit!
This is our favourite restaurant in Canberra. Not only is the food wonderful (and allergy and intolerance friendly for my daughter who can't have egg, peanuts, gluten, dairy, citrus, salicylates, amines and sulphites), but the staff are wonderful as well. Especially Andreas, great service tonight as per usual .
