Feedback
Nestled in a prime location, this new restaurant offers a blend of imaginative cuisine and dedicated service, making it a standout in the area. While many diners have been delighted by the diverse menu options and attentive staff, frustrations arise during busy nights, especially with limited menus and understaffing leading to longer wait times. The ambiance, particularly for non-golf enthusiasts, could benefit from enhanced decor. Overall, guests appreciate the delicious food, especially the outdoor dining experience, and look forward to returning despite some operational shortcomings. This dining spot shows promise as a local favorite yet requires some refinements.
It was my first visit back since the pandemic, and I was very disappointed to find out that there is a limited menu on Friday nights. The food from the smokehouse menu was below expectations. Although the staff worked hard to keep things running smoothly, they had too many tables to attend to and couldn’t provide the necessary attention to each customer, especially once a few parties of four were seated. I believe customers should have the option to order from both the full menu and the smokehouse menu on Friday nights.
I visited the restaurant tonight, thinking it was "buck a shuck" on Friday nights, but it wasn't. The place was very crowded and seemed understaffed, resulting in long wait times for both drinks and food. Additionally, the menu was quite limited. I won't be returning.
I feel this place was heavily misrepresented. Aside from a few golfers from the country club, I didn't see a single other customer, and there was zero effort made to serve us. The marketing suggests a vibrant pub offering New American cuisine and beer, so I was surprised I had never heard of it during my time living in the area—and now I understand why! To give you an idea of the experience: we walked in and waited for about five minutes, surrounded by a dozen or so elderly golfers who spent their time staring at my wife (who, along with one bartender and one waitress, was one of only three women in the place). Eventually, someone in a fancy polo shirt approached us and asked if we were there for a quick lunch. Keep in mind, it was already past 5 PM. I replied that we were actually looking for dinner and some beers. At that point, rather than offering to seat us, he just stood there staring at us, which felt incredibly awkward. Taking initiative, I asked if we should just find a seat ourselves. He responded that we could sit anywhere we liked. Many tables were dirty, despite them claiming to open at 4 PM just an hour earlier. We finally found a clean table in the middle of the room, but then we waited some more. I noticed more golfers walking in, who were clearly trying to check out my wife and another unfortunate woman who was there. I exchanged a glance with my wife, signaling that we might want to leave. Time dragged on, and our child started to get cranky with nothing to do. It became clear that the guy we initially spoke with was still lurking in the corner and had no intention of serving us. There were no utensils, menus, or any kind of greeting. The lone waitress seemed overwhelmed and was busy catering to the golfers instead. Ultimately, we decided to leave. I don't regret giving this place a shot, but I have no plans to return and wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re the type who feels the need to have a beer while telling your family about your golf game.
First time back since the pandemic and very disappointed to learn that Friday nights there is a limited menu. The food on the smokehouse menu was sub-par. While the staff did their best to keep things moving they had too much ground to cover to giveadequate attention to the customers. Especially once a few tables of 4 were seated. Give the customers the opportunity to orderoff the full menu plus the smokehouse menu on Friday nights.
