Cape Lodge - YALLINGUP

We visited cape lodge again for our jubilee celebration. Of course, this is the best choice if we are not gone. we found that cape lodge has increased its standard both in food and service. all in all, another wonderful meal in margaret river!

Came here for a romantic dinner with my partner on a Friday night. We had the option of degustation $195 or 4 course meal for $120. My partner and I chose the four course meal. I was so filled by the time I finished my main that I don't know how I would have gone if we opted for the degustation. For starters my partner and I had the trout and the prawn dishes. AMAZING ! Best degustation! Great service! Great views! Great wine! Food was delicious had scallops,trout,duck and steak all amazing! Maybe desert could be a little better was still nice but. A soufflé would of been exceptional though. A solid 9/10

We have been to the restaurant many times and have always enjoyed it. We went last night and the menu was different. We learned that the previous chef, Tony, left a few months ago. Unfortunately the new chef is not up to scratch. It was a disappointing meal.

Dinner for two in a very romantic setting.The service was of a high standard, the quality of the produce was also excellent. I did leave though thinking it was overpriced. I expected something exceptional, it was good, but I am struggling to justify the price.
