Rústico At Hay Shed Hill - WILYABRUP

The food is decent, looks good, but some were hit and miss with the flavors and value of ingredients. Service is good but a tad slow. Ambience feels more like a casual restaurant than a fine dining one as it’s quite busy. Do come with a very empty belly, it’s a lot of food!

Hadn’t been here before and it had me thinking why not ? WOW !! gorgeous ambience nice and cosy caters for children families young and old really surprised to see it pumping on a Tuesday. Place was packed out. And now I know why Food was flipping amazing taste buds exploding with every mouthful. When we thought we knew what our fav dish was out comes dessert and steals the show Guess what it was … The black salt flakes layered over the coffee cream EVOO served alongside the chocolate torte paired with the Cab Sav simply sensational Chris was our waiter his knowledge of the wines was exceptional he was super friendly and very obliging… So full we couldn’t move afterwards Definitely give these guys a five star well deserved and will be back for more Thank you for a wonderful romantic lunch

Wonderful lunch at Rustico. Went for the degustatuon with most of the add ons and the wine pairing. Food was fabulous and well paced. The wine pairings were generous and service from Sophie was second to none.

The views here are stunning. We had a degustation lunch booked and stopped by for a tasting beforehand. Our server, Michelle, was fantastic—she was incredibly helpful with all our questions. The tasting experience was enjoyable. Most of the lunch was delicious, but the degustation was a bit too much for us, so we decided to take our fifth course of chocolate and cheese home with us. I highly recommend the food, though I must say the beef was a bit tough and just okay. In hindsight, ordering à la carte might have been a better option for us since the portions were quite generous. Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Hay Shed Hill!

I recently took my mother to Rustico for her birthday, and we were absolutely impressed by the five-course tasting menu. There were a variety of dishes, and we loved that we had the option to add extras for a small fee. Our favorite dishes were the broccolini, zucchini, and the Bombe Alaska. The ambiance and the view of the vineyards also deserve a mention, as they really enhanced our experience.
