We visited because we saw people queuing for 2 nights, been to playa Blanca for years so thought we would try somewhere new but total disappointment, garlic bre... read more We visited because we saw people queuing for 2 nights, been to playa Blanca for years so thought we would try somewhere new but total disappointment, garlic bread looked lovely but lacking garlic no flavour, pizza okay , lasagne no meat to discover very bland , sangria where was the red wine ? Really disappointed and nobody asked about the meal even though half the lasagne was left and sangria not drunk, don’t waste your money go else where !!!

We hadn't booked but a table was made available for us very quick... read more Despite having visited Playa Blanca a few times before this was our first visit to Avenida 55. We hadn't booked but a table was made available for us very quickly, although I would recommend booking as later on a queue was forming outside and some people were turned away, we got lucky. The staff are absolutely wonderful, very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, we had garlic pizza bread between two of us to start then gnocchi quattro formaggi and spaghetti al frutti di mare. As a vegetarian, I had quite a few dishes to choose from, settling on cheesy gnocchi because HELLO carbs and dairy, yes please! My only very minor gripe is that the portions are absolutely huge and a little overwhelming. However, you absolutely get more than your value for money here, seriously. My only recommendations here are, definitely book a table just in case and consider whether you can manage a starter before a huge plate of pasta. We will definitely be back for more, 100% would recommend.

And it’s easy t... read more We had no idea this was such a popular place when we decided to give it a try we had to queue for a bit (as other reviewers say, best to book! . And it’s easy to see why people queue. The food service is superb. I’ve been struggling in Playa Blanca for vegetarian food and it was fab to find not only something I could eat (mushroom ravioli but also the most delicious I’ve had this week. The sangria was the best I’ve had this week as well!

Penne arriabbata was superb, asked if would add some spicy pepperoni as well and no trouble, partner had seafood spaghetti ,was absolutely gorgeous, so tasty.... Nice friendly people ,Italian staff,waiters wife was the chef..wish I was staying longer as would definitely go again.. we have eaten some lovely food over the last 11 nights and this meal was up there with the best....I'm not a pizza fan but love my pasta .. could of licked the dish clean lol

Decided to go based on previous reviews – did not have a table booked but decided to wait and it was worth it. The food selection and presentation are particularly good. Homemade pasta Nice place to stop off when in Playa Blanca.
