Wyndham Vale Fish and Chips

Great fish and chips . They do south Melbourne market dimsims they are the best . Never had a problem with them 5 stars . Food is always delicious good job guys

I ordered the Jack and Jill pack at this restaurant and requested that one piece of the fish be crumbed. However, when I received my order, the docket said 'grilled' and I was surprised to find that the crumbed fish was grilled instead of fried like I had expected. The fish was terribly dry and the batter seemed suspiciously like it was from frozen fish. The potato cakes also seemed to be frozen and not freshly cooked, and the chips were just okay but seemed to be frozen as well. The pineapple fritter was overcooked. Overall, I was very disappointed with the meal. It seemed like the restaurant was not as busy as usual, which made me wonder if it had recently changed ownership. The waitress serving us was friendly, but I had a hard time understanding her due to her chewing gum and mouth piercings. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.

As always, there was no fish available on Fridays. However, I recommend getting the Blue Grenadier at this restaurant. It was cooked to perfection and the chips were amazing. Our group of 6 people all enjoyed our meals and we couldn't find any faults with the portion sizes.

If I could give minus 5 I would, unfriendly and unhygienic staff. Giving them another go tonight and waiting 40 mins for our orders of 3 burgers, 1 fish and chips and pre ordered, fish was like rubber and burgers only just edible. You never really get friendly service and the feeling of they don't want to be there and serve you is apparent. I would advise anyone against going, the wait times alone are ridiculous and not open Sunday ... how ridiculous for a retail take away outlet. They are going to have to really lift their game for me to go back.

Great little shop with all you'd expect in a good fish and chip shop. Nice fish. Good chips, But the piece de resistance is their to die for, Pumpkin Cakes. Yummo.
