Average village pub serves good food, nothing outstanding. Beers kept well. Gets busy on Sundays, but doesn’t feel like a Cotswold pub, it could be placed anywhere. View all feedback.
Had a lovely meal here. Chose the rump steak. Cooked to perfection . Went on the buy one get one free deal that they are doing for a few weeks. Great selection. Already booked again for next week. 5 highly recommend
We discovered this fabulous restaurant on our 1st visit to a Buckland rental Cottage for a month in 2017, a 2-week Christmas visit in 2018 with Christmas Day dinner reservation made from the USA with Carol. Three more one month long stays in 2019, 2021 (Buckland rentals) and 2023 rental right here in Childswickham and stays always include multiple lunches and dinners. Sadly, we will have our last dinner tomorrow night, prior to our return to the USA very early Saturday morning
Visited twice in our week in the area and it was perfect on both occasions. Catered for one of the party having food allergies and gave us space for a pushchair. Food and staff were excellent.
We always go here for Sunday lunch each time we visit the Cotswolds and the staff are friendly and welcoming every time. Food is consistently good and they always make us and our dogs feel extremely welcome. Highly recommend but book in advance as it’s always busy!
