Had an excellent meal here the other week. Food and service was lovely. Price was reasonable. Large car park at rear. Clean toilets.
Had a top takeaway from Anise, really really good, would definitely go back next time in Wrexham
I visited this restaurant today with my daughter, and my friend.travelling from Shotton after seeing the good ratings. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered two starters first because we wanted to check the taste and spice level before ordering more, which is very normal for us as we are Indian. However, the waiter pressured us to order more food immediately. When I explained that we prefer to try the food first, his response was rude and unacceptable. He said that this time it was fine, but next time they would not accept small orders. This was very disrespectful and made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. No customer should be spoken to like this. There was no sign or policy mentioned anywhere about minimum orders, so this behaviour was completely unprofessional. Because of this attitude, we decided not to order anything else. The food itself was average, but the service completely ruined the experience. I would not recommend this place based on how Coustomer treated.
I went to the Anise on Wednesday evening, 4th February with my parents for the Indian banquet night, which they have every Wednesday evening. We booked our table for 6:30 and were seated straight away as soon as we arrived. We have eaten here several times before over the years, and as usual, we had a great night out. All of the staff were very attentive and friendly throughout our experience. The restaurant was pleasantly busy because it was mid week, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere which included a warm environment, the gorgeous smell of the herbs and spices in the air and the pleasant and relaxing Indian classical music that was playing in the background. We shared a bottle of prosecco to start the evening, and had poppadoms with mango chutney, onion salad and all of the other dips. I had onion bhajis for my starter as well which come with a little lettuce and cherry tomato salad on the side and a sweet chilli dip. I have always absolutely loved very hot and spicy cuisine, so I went for the chicken chilli balti with a side of naan bread for my main. The curry I had was absolutely full of fresh chillis and vegetables and bursting with flavour and intense spice! And I enjoyed every bite. Everything was also very satisfyingly filling. One of the waiters also came over and chatted to me briefly about different spice levels. As usual, an amazing night out at Anise, and I hope to come back again soon.
