Though the kitchen earns frequent praise for standout dishes like sea bass, pigs’ belly and passion-fruit Eton mess, several reviewers note that management can be strict about Sunday table slots—some parties felt rushed even when spaces appeared free. Regulars often call out individual servers by name for excellent service, suggesting that you may have very different front-of-house experiences depending on who’s working. Last-minute online bookings are usually accepted and there’s ample parking, so arriving by car is often the most straightforward option.
