Feedback
Reviews praise Canalside Grill’s tasty, good-value food and friendly staff, but note many TVs and occasional booking or service hiccups for large groups.
We went to the restaurant on Sunday afternoon. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service could have been a bit faster, but it wasn't slow. The venue was very nicely decorated. My only complaint is that there are too many TVs in the restaurant. I didn't realize it would be like that. When I'm having Sunday lunch, I don't want to be surrounded by football on every screen. The restaurant feels more like a sports bar, even though it's not advertised as one. It's a shame because other than that, the restaurant is excellent.
There is no point in going to this restaurant. It is very disorganized and unprofessional.
The man who greeted us seemed a bit short, but I suspect the booking system was malfunctioning and there were 9 of us. We were seated and well taken care of by two friendly waitresses. When we asked for the bill at the bar, the man still seemed a bit rude, despite us leaving them at least £100 extra in profit. I understand the stress of a last-minute booking and a large group, but there was no need for the attitude. He could have addressed the issue later without serving it with a side of attitude.
The guy who greeted us was a little short with us, but to be fair, I think the booking system was up and there were 9 of us. was sat and accommodated by the two beautiful waitresses. I asked about the bill at the bar and the guy gave a bit of adjustment even though we had won him at least £100 extra than they had done. I understand, coming in a certain last minute booking, a big group, but they would have just renamed it, didn't need to have served with it.
We visited on Sunday afternoon. eating was excellent and good value for money. the service might have been a bit faster, but I wouldn't call it slow. put them very well presented themselves. my criticism is the amount of tvs at the venue. I had no idea it was. I don't want to be able to shove football in me from every angle, still alone, from anywhere. the venue is a sports bar and its not advertised as such. a really shame because unlike that his excellent.

Though not advertised as a sports bar, Canalside Grill frequently fills its many screens with live matches — a contrast guests often notice alongside the polished Sunday lunches. That mix of 'refined plate, pub pulse' is part of its charm and explains why it appeals to diners who want reliably tasty food in a sociable setting.
