Description

The Dilshad Restaurant is a popular Indian eatery located in the heart of Wolverhampton, just behind the Grand Theatre on Berry Street. It is well-known for its delicious food and vibrant atmosphere, attracting both locals and the occasional celebrity. After years of success, the original owners passed the torch to Aftab Ullah, a seasoned expert in the food industry. Since taking over in December, he has worked tirelessly to maintain Dilshad's proud traditions while introducing exciting new changes to put the restaurant back on the culinary map of Wolverhampton.

I had a terrible experience with this restaurant. I ordered delivery for almost £70, but the delivery driver refused to make the effort to come to the front of my house and drove off instead. He claimed he was lost, leaving me waiting outside in the cold for 10 minutes. When he finally delivered the food, it was completely cold. The restaurant's response was inadequate and I am extremely disappointed. I remember when Dilshad was a great place 20 years ago, but I will never use this establishment again.

Nine of us visited this restaurant yesterday evening for dinner. Unfortunately, the staff were slow to clear the menus and empty bottles from our table. Additionally, the waiter made a mistake with our drink order, as he did not write anything down. I specifically requested a non-spicy chicken korma due to my sensitivity to spices. The waiter assured me that a korma has no spice, but when it was served, it was extremely spicy and caused a burning sensation in my mouth, lips, and throat. This could have been dangerous if I had a peanut allergy. Overall, it was a terrible experience.

Decent West Midlands style balti house. Not the poshest place you’ll ever have a curry, but pretty decent. Nice staff, good service.

A really nice, old fashioned Indian restaurant. The food is very good they don't try for anything modern, and stick to the old classics (Madras, Tikka Masala, etc). And they're done well. Good, attentive service too. Recommended.
