The first time, the person on the phone said it was on its way, and the second time, a girl claimed it had been delivered. I am a regular customer on Just Eat, and I am extremely disappointed. Shame on you for not delivering the food.

Unfortunately, the food was cold when it arrived, which has never happened before. I usually order from this restaurant.

Pros Great tasting chips, the plain were nice but the battered were very good, a very light batter, not too heavy with the right amount of crunch. Not oily either and we're freshly cooked, I watched them prepare and fry fresh. The price I found to be very fair, mini fish and chips with a choice of sauce was £5.50 OR £6 I can't remember but for that you get a decent sized portion of fish, bang on for the money and a decent portion of chips, so not sure what other people have stated below about portions being small, they definitely wasn't. Good friendly service but was a little slow, it was expected as there were queues the whole time I was in there waiting for my food. All food was prepared fresh and because of that I didn't mind waiting. Cons The masala fish I had I think contained red food dye, please guys if you're reading this just do your masala mix without the dye or add tandoori masala in for the red colour. The shop I felt needed a little updating, tiles were cracked and loose on the floor and the menu boards really looked old. Apart from that a great overall experience. Any customers in Penn if you're thinking of popping here get yourself in and at least try their chips, definitely a decent chippy! All the best

Tonight, I put... read more My wife is a coeliac so has to have gluten free. We live in Wednesfield on the other side of city, but make the journey because the food is okay. Tonight, I put in my order £25.30, and was made to wait almost half an hour for the order. You’d think, surely, if people can be bothered to walk in, that they would be served first, or perhaps, have a dedicated member of staff to look after them and not have all staff pandering to Go Eat or whoever. A 30 minute wait for fish and chips is very, very poor and I shall try to find somewhere closer to home.

I had a large cod and a good size cone of battered chips with a pot of gravy and a curry sauce. My husband had a mixed kebad chips and salad which was a big portion for a small. Easy to order over the phone staff helpful and polite. I payed over the phone and it was delivered in just under 45mins. I will definately have a saturday night treat again.

I was assured that the chips are gluten-free. The fish and chips were outstanding, and for the first time, I didn't experience any negative side effects after eating them. The batter was delicious, and the staff were very accommodating, answering all my questions about gluten-free vinegar. The large chips are definitely a generous portion. Keep in mind that gluten-free options are only available on Tuesdays and Saturdays. I placed my order on a Saturday night, and it was ready in just 15 minutes.

I know from the experience how frustrating it is for someone with a gluten intolerance to get good, qualitatiw high quality food. highly recommended

I was thrilled to hear that chip stop in penn provide gluten free fish and chips (among others) every Tuesday and Saturday and make sure that food is prepared seperately (as I think the person that belongs to the chippy is also coeliac so totally gets the whole disease and crosscontamination cache.) I haven't come back long from the chip stop to have our slender zealous eating tasted nice, would not even know that it was gluten-free. the mini-fish and chip content was actually quite filled and eating together with my partners gluten with food was quite expensive. I was very satisfied with the service of the very helpful staff. we decided to go to the shop to order personally and although it was a busy Saturday evening and my gluten free food was prepared seperately, it took no more than 7 to 10 minutes to wait for my food. thanks, chip stop team. I will definitely pay another visit.

I was looking for a gluten-free chip shop in wolverhampton. some only do gluten-free at certain days, but this chip store was open and gluten-free chips. the ow... read more I was looking for a gluten-free chip shop in wolverhampton. some only do gluten-free at certain days, but this chip store was open and gluten-free chips. the owner takes it seriously and understands a celiac need to avoid gluten. they can't say they're gluten-free, but I can say they were excellent. really helpful people there and look at the thank you messages that they do much for charity. 10 out of 10 for a great chip shop.
