Despite mixed reviews, Wolfe's Tavern offers a charming atmosphere with friendly staff and a menu that is predominately gluten-free. While some diners were disappointed by the limited dinner options, those who enjoyed their meals found the food to be very good. Service was a highlight for many, despite some minor issues with wait times and utensils. Overall, Wolfe's Tavern remains a popular choice for those seeking a historic dining experience in a welcoming environment.

Had an amazing dinner at Wolfed Tavern! After a delayed flight, it was a great relief to walk into this warm and inviting restaurant with exceptional service.

The burger was delicious, but everything else was just average. The martini tasted strange and one of our water glasses had pink water in it. The menus were dirty and I don't see the point of having seasonal menus if they're not changed regularly. We won't be returning to this restaurant.

We stayed here in mid-July. I had booked a room well in advance for one night. I was not impressed. The room was just off of the lobby and was not super clean. The air conditioner was very loud. The only great thing about it was how nice the woman at thefront desk (Denise) was at checkin. I have been coming to Wolfeboro every summer for my entire life and have always thought itwould be fun to stay at ?the best hotel in town.? When I had to come for a quick trip, I was excited to cease the opportunity tostay here. I was not impressed and I won?t be staying here.

We stayed here June 11th through the 13th for our wedding that was on June 12th. Although the day ended up going smoothly by the end, I absolutely would not recommend this venue to any other bride. We decided on this venue in November 2021 at therecommendation of a family member and after touring it. We signed a contract by the end of the year and all was going smoothly.Around March, our experience became progressively worse. The primary event coordinator left and the other worker, named Corin, took over. From that point on, we didn 't get a straight answer about anything. I asked for weeks for details about hotel roomcosts and what (if anything) was included; never got a proper response. Everything was I 'll check or Let me see. As an eventcoordinator, she did not seem to know the answer to a single question. We even called the front desk to ask about hotel roomcosts and were told they 'd check with Corin. The day before our wedding, I was informed we would have to pay about $1,000 forthe hotel rooms for 1 night. At our menu tasting, we asked about options to accommodate 3 vegetarians in our guest list. Weended up agreeing that 3 fish filets could be made separately since the guests would eat everything else on the menu. Fastforward 2 weeks before the wedding, Corin calls to talk about the menu and says she can 't accommodate the 3 vegetarians. Duringthe planning process, Corin would complain about other brides on the phone to me while trying to give me updates on our events.I also received Facebook messages from other brides in planning groups asking if I was able to get ahold of anyonerecently. The week of the wedding, I ask if we 're able to decorate the reception room the day before and Corin assured me thatwould be fine since we are the only event that weekend. When we arrive the day before the wedding, the reception room hasanother event occurring that wouldn 't be done for a few more hours. Friends and family had arrived early to help us set u
