Sanpa - Wokingham
Sanpa
Description
Sanpas has experienced a notable shift since the pandemic, displaying a blend of highs and lows in recent diners' experiences. While some guests relished the vibrant atmosphere and flavorful dishes, others lamented the decline in service and food quality. Complaints about heavily salted paella, tough meats, and a rushed dining experience contrast sharply with praise for the welcoming staff and delightful tapas. Although there are reports of inconsistent service, many appreciate the reasonable prices and charming decor. As Sanpas navigates its post-lockdown identity, it remains a space where nostalgia clashes with the need for revitalization.

Feedback
Really loved the family owned restaurant at Wokingham. Friendly and welcoming staffs, good ambience and great food.
Very average food and a middling atmosphere you miss a trick by not having Spanish music/flamenco but instead we can all hear the average radio station that's on in the kitchen. I'd been previously and the food was great, but this last time was a disappointment. The meatballs tasted like they were from a tin with a watery sauce and the squid was chewy. I enjoyed the bread and padron peppers but I can make them at home the same way, and often do! The servers were polite and friendly, and the food came quickly.
Nice location and friendly staff . The food was good but not really tasty. We had a nice evening time.
