The main course, the pan-seared seabass, didn't quite match the exceptional standard set by the starter, but it was still enjoyable and beautifully presented. The five-spice dressing complemented the other ingredients perfectly, and the salad was fresh and flavorful.

While I was initially underwhelmed by the individual flavors of the Black Forest dessert, once I began to mix them together on the plate, I was blown away. I can honestly say it was the best dessert I've had in years. Overall, my experience was very positive, and I would highly recommend this restaurant for a variety of occasions. I visited while staying at the adjacent Cantley House Hotel on a business trip, but this place is also ideal for casual meals or gatherings with friends.
The restaurant is situated in a lovely setting, adjacent to Cantley House itself. It has been beautifully renovated from an old stall, maintaining charming original features like steel stack dividers and wooden beams. We enjoyed an afternoon tea that came with a complimentary glass of Pimm's. The food was delightful, although we were disappointed to find that the Eton mess was unavailable. Upon requesting a replacement, the chef apologized and adjusted our bill for the sour cream. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. While it was reasonably priced, the £20 per person for afternoon tea still felt a bit on the pricey side.
We had an amazing Sunday at Milton's. The value we got for the price was impressive—we honestly didn't expect such a great experience in Wokingham! The quality of the food was excellent, and the snowy atmosphere added to the charm. It was quite busy, but that's no surprise given how good it is. The roast beef was absolutely delicious! Milton's is truly a hidden gem.
Great place for Sunday dinner. very reasonable prices also for families considering that children under 12 years can eat free. the bratbeef was boiled well without being overdonated and the yorkshire pudding was suitable moist. there are outdoor seats when the weather is good and a small but useful weinlist.
