this garden center has a beautiful feeling. does not feel as intense or commercial as the large chain centers. she is still a brilliant series of plants and garden sons. also there is a nice selection of water properties and wheel-barrows.es was some at the moment so some of the parts are shut off, including the caffe and toilets. there are portable toilets in the parking lot that were clean and good to use.Looking f... What Wayne Wood doesn't like about Heathlands:
This restaurant is really struggling. Despite having constant bookings, the place is only half full. The service is slow and inefficient, with a young team that seems overwhelmed and lacking in direction. The food is okay, but not good enough to justify the hassle of dealing with unresponsive staff. My husband ordered a decaf coffee latte, which he found to be not as good as the one he gets at Nero's. My Birchall Mao Feng green tea was served as a teabag in a teapot and was disappointingly tasteless. It did not compare to other brands of Mao Feng green tea that I have had, and was not as good as the green tea from Nero's or Starbucks. Halfway through our drinks, a waitress asked us if we wanted anything to eat, which we declined. When we finished, we struggled to find where to pay and eventually caught the attention of the woman who greeted us. She used a tablet to calculate the total, which seemed like a long and complicated process for just a couple of drinks. Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience at the café and do not plan on returning, except perhaps for their great selection of plants.

We made a reservation for lunch for 3 people on the website, but we received a text informing us that there would be no meals available due to a shortage of staff. Instead, tea and cake would be offered. Despite the inconvenience, we decided to still go. However, for the second time (and also during a previous visit), the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. We had an elderly lady with us who struggled to sit in the chilly environment. The tea and cake were enjoyable, but it seemed like the restaurant had hired inexperienced teenagers as wait staff, as they seemed clueless. The tables were cluttered with dirty dishes, and when someone did come to clear our table, they only took two plates and never returned. I debated whether to write this review, as we have had great experiences at Squires in the past with no complaints. I hope the management takes note of this, as I'm sure we weren't the only ones disappointed.
This garden centre is a few minuets up the road from Sandhurst where we live very convenient. There are much bigger garden centres around but for us this is the best. The staff are very friendly and helpfull and clued up on everything. We now shop every week in the in-store Butches shop the meat is top quality and again great service. The food hall has a large veriaty of goods expensive but good quality.Again staff very help-full nothing is too much trouble for them. Instore bakery very dissapointing not enough variety. The Cafe is excellent eaten in there quite a few times with my wife and family and the service is always good staff very friendly and the food big portions good quality value foe money for what you get.
Unfortunately our visit today was very disappointing having looked up a new garden centre online to try we decided to head over to Squires in Wokingham as it looked great on the website. We headed for the restaurant on arrival and we’re met with a sign to say the restaurant was being renovated and therefore it was a limited snack menu. It would be a very good idea to state this on the website! We didn’t find the staff over friendly and we opted for a cream tea each very disappointing it was served on a flimsy paper plate, the tea was in a paper cup, we had to go back up and ask for the cream and butter unfortunately the cream looked curdled and powdery. Totally disappointed and it was enough to put us off returning.
