We were staying in Wodonga and asked where to go for dinner and Blazing Stump was recommended. We had not heard of it so decided to try!Top place. Top staff. Top food. Top service. Seriously a great place with lovely friendly regulars that stop by and actually say hello!Very surprised. It 'seemed' to be out of the way of regular places to eat. But highly recommend to make the effort. Even better if you have a self co... View all feedback.

Food came out quick, service was ok, drinks were cold. That’s about it! Floor was putrid, place was grotty and it was super noisy. Now noise is part of big venues however with placement of features alot of the noise can be mitigated! And staff cleaning up- well that’s just training. Won’t be back for awhile…….. The garlic prawns and scallops, as well as the roast lamb, were both delicious. The house cabernet-merlot and pinot were also excellent, and priced at around $10 AUD for a full glass, which was a great value. The staff was friendly and there was a separate room for families with children. The atmosphere was nice and I would definitely come back again.
We ordered the Seniors special Chicken Schnitzel and were disappointed to receive pre-made chicken schnitzel that was cut in half. The meal was not only a joke but also felt like an insult to Seniors. The subpar quality of the undercooked chips and sparse salad, mostly consisting of lettuce leaves, made us feel that the meal should be priced at no more than $10.
I went to this restaurant for lunch with my family. We walked in, sat down, looked at the menu, and then decided to leave because it was too expensive. The average cost for a family of four would be $90, and there was no lunch menu available. We were also disappointed to learn that there were no entrees on offer. Additionally, we couldn't order pizza as it was only served from 5 to 9.
My co-worker and I were staying next door so we were delighted that we could walk here easily. First impressions were that it was quite large... and as we were seated, I realised I had been here before ... about twenty years ago when my partner at the time had been a Chef here. I wasn't going to hold that against the pub though. : We were told at the hotel that we probably would not be able to eat here as it was booked out, but when we arrived they didn't hesitate seating us. We ordered our meals at the bar and we were given a buzzer to collect them when they were ready. Considering the pub was relatively busy, we didn't wait long before the buzzer went off. Our meals were tasty and we both enjoyed what we had. The pub itself is generic... nothing is going to stand out except the beer tanks that offer something interesting to look at. After we ate, we went to the al fresco area at the back of the pub smoking area and continued to drink until closing time. We enjoyed our night here.
