fantastic, polite staff, the tables were immaculate and 6 feet apart. general manager was friendly and cordial when he came to all the tables and asked them how that was eating and what was not. eating was a spectacular, amazingly flaming. drinks were no different. the sweet and spicy flight was beautifully dressed. What User doesn't like about The Spot Winchester:
Everything but the sushi is pretty tasty. Sushi is sub par along with the cocktails. Would probably still have gone back if not for the high price Edit: as requested I will be more specific. I had the French Cake, the nori was thick and chewy. It was also $18.00 for one roll. I know it’s an upscale place but come on. The rest of the sushi was similarly priced and the roll my partner got was similarly mediocre. As for... View all feedback.
First time. Delicious food, drink and atmosphere was very comfortable/relaxing. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Nice vibe. eating was very good. a star for an unattended server.
This place was top notch! The wide assortment of sushi to sandwiches to margaritas is just what we needed! I ordered the French Cake sushi which had a great sweet/spicy sauce on top. It was 8 pieces of sushi and filled me up! The Chocolate Covered Strawberry martini was full of unique flavor with both strawberry vodka and Irish cream. While I was hesitant at first to order this, the flavors worked really well together. The margarita flight was a good deal for $17 and provided 3 samples of margarita. The blueberry favor was one I have never tried before! Highly recommend this place. Service was great. Food was delicious. What more could you ask for?
I went late on a Friday, about 1:30, expecting it to be low key but the place was slammed. Seated right away, but after waiting 25 minutes had only been given menus and water. Got a different waiter's attention and he was very good they were obviously under staffed. But we had liked this place's previous incarnation as TWK (The Wakefield Kitchen) and were not impressed with The Spot. I ordered the special burger which was small and tasteless and overwhelmed by the two strips of overly sweet bacon on top. My dining partner got the steak tips THREE way overly salty steak tips with about 2 lbs. of mashed potatoes (my burger was also overwhelmed by the fries) and a pile of nicely cooked broccoli for $23 at lunch? My burger was $17. Clearly the potato to meat ratio is way off here. Too bad as the courtyard patio was very pretty but I can't see returning.
The two times we were here, it wasn't good. certain menu items are not available. it was always empty. looks as if they had personal problems and were then closed because of illnesses. when I opened a new place during a pandemic, I was certainly not easy if nobody wanted to eat in. I wanted to fight to get back to the feet. sad. we are native and hates also see places close.
