Playa Bowls - Brighton

Having been to one of their locations in NJ, I had high hopes coming here.i found the process took a really long time and there was no heads up the chia pudding bowl was about half the size of normal ones. I would?ve ordered something else!

Definitely not a good experience. I ordered the açaí energy smoothie with added mango and it was just a mess. I noticed the fruit wasn?t blended when I drank it but I haven?t had positive experiences explaining an issue in the past at this Comm Ave location so I didn?t want to complain. However towards the of the smoothie I noticed that some fruit wasn?t blended at all and I tasted chunks of fruit. I couldn?t even sip bec the chunks of fruit kept clogging the straw. The bottom of the smoothie had the chunks of mango I paid for as if they forgot to add it and just threw it in the bottom lol. An absolute mess. I would avoid this location at all costs if you have a choice.

Playa bowls and delicious! The service is always prompt. More busy when BC students are around, but they do a great job!

Ordered a Costa Bowl for me and a Dragonberry Bowl for my roommate. In the Dragonberry Bowl there were remnants of a plastic food/nutrition label, the kind you see stuck onto fruit and other packaged foods. Emailed corporate, no response. Obviously this is a major health concern, as there is probably adhesive and ink mixed into the fruit in the bowl.

Delicious fruit bowls. Fruit is fresh and ripe most of the time, but not always. I've enjoyed the acai bowls and the pitaya bowls. Presentation and bowls are bit messy. My bowls have been sloppily put together with juice making the bowl and lid all sticky. Sometimes some fruit skin or leaves are left in the bowl. Sometimes the granola is in a single lump and sometimes it is mixed well. Staff is friendly but they don't have the best customer service. They entered the wrong phone number for rewards once and when I let them know, they apologized but could not fix the problem. Yummy food but the place just needs to put some more care into making the bowls cleanly and maybe a senior manager onsite.
