The fish and chips at this restaurant are the best I've ever had, except for Mariners Wharf in Hout Bay. Unfortunately, Cape Town is too far for me to get a regular refill. The fish is cooked to order with a crispy batter and perfectly flaky flesh. The chips are also fresh, made from real potatoes. My neighbor and I split an order since we are older ladies, but the men in our group dive in with determined expressions and satisfied sighs.
This restaurant serves some of the best fish and chips we've ever had, and the service is excellent. I highly recommend trying the scampi as well, it was fantastic! - Toby D.
I ordered a large meal from The Codfather for a nearby care home, and it was a hit with both the residents and staff! The staff at The Codfather were extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend them to everyone. The portions are generous (even too big for some of us) and are reasonably priced. We will definitely be ordering from them again.
Brought 2 X standard cod and chips, there was enough for 4 adults with some leftover. All freshly cooked and so tasty.
This was the first time we had used this chippy, we normally use a different one in Witney. It was absolutely gorgeous, the fish and batter was cooked to perfection and the chips were just as good. The shop looked lovely and clean and the staff were very polite and happy. We will definitely use this one again
