Was Anonym at Red's Eats a mag?
5 star food, 1 star waiting. We waited about 2 hours in the line, with the line starting in the parking lot on the water (see my picture). Many people criticism says their best lobster role they had in Maine. I'll be honest and say it wasn't the best lobster I had, but it was certainly the biggest lobster I had. They stuff the roll with 2 3 times the amount of lobster put other places. It had essentially lobster with... View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Red's Eats:
5 star food, 1 star wait. Granted, they can't help it and they do their best handing out water, umbrellas and the occasional snack for your journey up the line. You have to know you're going to wait, and you have to be OK with it. We ordered lobsterrolls, because obviously that's what you go for. I can't say they were better than the best lobster roll I've had, but there wasenough lobster meat for 2 buns on 1 roll. C... View all feedback.

We absolutely adore this restaurant and always make a point to visit whenever we're in Maine. Their lobster roll is incredible, loaded with a generous amount of lobster! Last week, I tried their scallops, and WOW, they were fantastic! The customer service here is outstanding as well. They even provide umbrellas for shade while you wait in line, along with complimentary samples and water! Corey was our server, and he took great care of us, checking in several times and being incredibly friendly. We can't wait to return soon!

The line is almost never worth it but on those rare occasions that it's less than 10 people long, I will stop. I have fond childhood memories of my Dad taking me for hot dogs and onion rings as a reward for good grades. I know the lobster roll gets all the praise and it is great/worthy of that praise but the onion rings are the deal standout. You can make a lobster roll just as good at home with little effort, but not those onion rings crispy, batter dipped, sweet onion; you don't even need any condiments. Lobster roll market price was $34 on our visit which is a pretty good deal considering the current market price of picked lobster.

Where do I begin? I waited in line for 1.25 hours, and it was absolutely worth it! I tried the lobster roll, scallops, and onion rings. I have to say, I might be spoiled for the rest of my trip. The scallops and onion rings were fantastic, but the lobster roll... wow! It had more lobster than any I've ever had, and it was simply delicious. There was even a whole tail on the roll! I had to eat more than half of it before I could actually pick it up. I’ll stop here, but the memories will definitely stay with me!

Red's Eats offers 5-star food but comes with a 1-star wait. We found ourselves standing in a line that stretched for about 2 hours, beginning in the parking lot by the water (check out my photo). Many reviews claim it's the best lobster roll in Maine, but to be honest, I didn't find it to be the best I’ve ever had. However, it certainly was the largest lobster roll I’ve encountered; the portion was about two to three times what you get at other places. It felt like having a mound of lobster with just a side of bun. For me, a great lobster roll strikes the perfect balance between lobster and bun. On top of that, we tried the fried scallops, which were absolutely phenomenal. Would I wait in line again? Absolutely not; I wouldn't stand in that line for 2 hours once more. Nevertheless, I’m glad I had the chance to experience this Maine classic. I hope this review helps you decide if you want to brave the wait for Red's Eats' menu!

First I want to start by saying, I hate waiting very long at a restaurant. But after seeing all the best lobster awards Reds has gotten over many years we just had to detour through Wiscasset, Maine and give Reds a try. Yesterday was a beautiful daywhich made the wait much easier. We arrived to a line about 150 ' long waiting to get to a single order window of this iconicshack type food stand. While waiting in line we met folks traveling from everywhere all with a common goal of try a Reds lobsterroll. It was a group of young and old all socializing to kill time. I was amazing to see so many people talking friendly to eachother. During the wait one of the Reds employees would delivery cups of cold water to keep all the customers hydrated buthungry One hour and fifty four minutes after arriving at our place in line at Reds, we were rewarded with the absolutely bestLobster Roll, possibly in the country. Besides the taste, there was enough lobster meat to feed two. For the first time in mylife I left half a bun in order to finish the mouth watering fresh off the boat lobster meat. A lobster roll consists of lobstermeat, fresh drawn warm butter and some variation of a hot dog bun. One might think there isn 't much difference until you tastethe freshness of Reds. Keep up the fabulous work Reds. You deserve the many years you have been in business. The many travelshows and food awards you have received can 't come close to explaining the experience it is to bite into your lobster
