I debated for a long time about whether or not to share this story, but I think it's important that I do. I visited the Sandridge restaurant on July 31st. While I was waiting to be served, I overheard two other customers discussing the new local lockdowns in areas like Leicester, Manchester, etc. At that moment, the woman working at the bar interrupted their conversation to make a derogatory comment using a racial slur. Her words were spoken with malice and without hesitation. I recommend that socially conscious customers avoid this restaurant while this particular staff member is employed there.
This cozy pub has a small and friendly atmosphere, with a beer garden in the back that features live music on the weekends. The staff here are extremely down-to-earth and welcoming, making you feel right at home.
My twin brother Stephen and I had just finished some drinks at Stanley's Cask, and as we were walking around town, we stumbled upon this pub. It turned out to be a great discovery. The traditional interior, stylish bar, TV screens for sports, and comfortable seating both indoors and in the beer garden made for a relaxing atmosphere. Despite the chilly Wednesday afternoon, the pub was starting to fill up with a lively crowd. A friendly staff member warmly greeted us and served us each a pale ale, which was in excellent condition. We enjoyed the well-balanced, hoppy pale ale as we relaxed and warmed up. The Sandridge Pub impressed us both, and we highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. You can find The Sandridge Pub on Rowson Street. It's a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy a great pint.
