Description

Caffe Cream, situated on the edge of Birkenhead Park, has garnered mixed reviews from its visitors. While the café offers a pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff and a selection of light snacks and beverages, some patrons have expressed disappointment over its limited menu and inconsistent service. Reports of slow dining experiences and issues with food presentation hint at a need for improvement. However, many appreciate the café's charm and location, making it a suitable spot for a quick respite. With a few tweaks, this café has the potential to enhance its offerings and become a beloved local haunt.

I visited the park today with a large walking group and found plenty of seating available. The coffee and food were both great. The staff were friendly, especially one guy who seemed to be constantly working; he was always cheerful and provided quick service. Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 4. Price per person: £1–10.

I had a long wait to be served, and when I finally received my ice cream, it was excessively soft—too soft for a cone, so I chose a tub instead. The portion was incredibly small. The service was also frustratingly poor. For £4, I expected more. It's unfortunate there isn't a proper café in the park, just a place that serves reheated hot dogs and overpriced toasties. The menu was very limited, more suited to a coffee shop or ice cream parlor. Food: 1, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 2.

I visited with a group (camera club) and we went to the cafe for lunch. It has a basic range of snacks and meals, which are more than enough for a light lunch. The service was a bit inefficient, though polite.
