River's Edge Tap & Table - Windsor

My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time with friends this past week. We shared the perch light plate and the quinoa salad. We loved the quinoa salad and the perch was good. None of us at the table cared for the seasoned French fries but that was purely a preference thing. The beers were cold and the company was great. Why I am writing this review is because Erika, our server, was fantastic. She was attentive yet gave us time to mull over the menu and did not make us feel rushed at any point. She was very knowledgeable about the many beers on tap and was able to explain the dishes on the menu from memory. We were able to chat with her through the process and we felt she was conscious of making sure we had the best experience. High five Erika! Thanks for taking such good care of us!

This was our second visit and it was almost perfect. Our waitress was very attentive but also didn't rush us. We sat on the patio which is really nice. I had the 3 piece perch dinner and it was excellent. My partner had the frog legs and was a bit disappointed because they were battered. We've never seen them done this way. Our waitress offered him another meal but once he took the batter off, the frog legs were delicious, so he kept them. All in all a great experience and decent prices . We will definitely be back.

Four of us went for lunch in this nicely decorated restaurant, with seats on the terrace. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The soup course was very tasty. My meatloaf sandwich was excellent with one of the best meatliaves I have ever tasted. Fries were crispy. Friends had a wrap and ciabatta sandwich. Check it out!

Lots of money spent wisely to refurbish the place by the new owners who really care for details. We all had fish and chips and had the luxury of homemade fries or sweet potato fries. Wine bar, pub feel, super terrasse, this is a very surprising place. Lots of parking. Service was really fantastic and the team works from the heart as well as good owners. Will go back.

Four of us attended the Murder Mystery Dinner for Mothers Day and the food was subpar. We all had the chicken and it was very dry and over cooked. The dessert wasn't good either. Too bad because the atmosphere was nice and the service excellent.
