Description

River's Edge Restaurant offers a mixed dining experience according to recent reviews. While some diners found the food lackluster, with dishes like chicken and fish falling flat in terms of flavor and texture, others were pleasantly surprised with their meals, praising items like the quinoa salad and perch dinners. Service quality varied; some servers were courteous and knowledgeable, while others were more abrupt with customers. Despite these inconsistencies, patrons appreciated the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff at River's Edge, making it a potentially worthwhile destination for those looking for a casual dining experience with good company and decent prices.

Lots of money spent wisely to refurbish the place by the new owners who really care for details. We all had fish and chips and had the luxury of homemade fries or sweet potato fries. Wine bar, pub feel, super terrasse, this is a very surprising place. Lots of parking. Service was really fantastic and the team works from the heart as well as good owners. Will go back.

Four of us attended the Murder Mystery Dinner for Mothers Day and the food was subpar. We all had the chicken and it was very dry and over cooked. The dessert wasn't good either. Too bad because the atmosphere was nice and the service excellent.

Went for lunch with a friend of mine. The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. It was too cold for the patio so we sat inside at a spacious booth. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and bar selections. My friend ordered the steak sandwich and I ordered the one piece fish and chips. The fish and chips were very good, the french fries were delicious and the coleslaw was incredible with a bit of a zing to it. The steak sandwich was very tasty and both dishes would be ordered again. The restroom was very clean and nicely decorated. I would definitely go back to the River's Edge again.

The food lacked flavor, with the fish and rice tasting bland and the vegetables tasting like they were frozen. They had a good selection of beers. The staff were friendly, but the service was not exceptional.

What has happened to this restaurant?! This used to be one of our favorite places to eat. The food was always good and the service was excellent. However, yesterday was a completely different experience. It took the server 20 minutes to come to our table and give us menus, even though she had seen us waiting without greeting us with a smile. She then informed us that there was a 45-1 hour wait for our food. Despite this, we decided to stay and asked if an appetizer would take as long, to which she just shrugged her shoulders. Our food eventually arrived in less than half an hour, but the server was extremely unpleasant and rude. She dropped off our food without any condiments and did not return until we had finished eating. Unfortunately, the food was dry and hard, barely edible. We will not be coming back. What a shame.
