I visited Dumpling Time for a late lunch with my wife today. The restaurant has a modern, tasteful decor and is exceptionally clean and well-kept. The hostess was warm, attentive, and very helpful. We ordered a variety of small dishes to share, including spring rolls, onion pancakes, wonton soup, pan-fried dumplings, and two delicious Mama Lemonades. The food arrived piping hot and beautifully presented, with elegant dishes and utensils. My favorite was the seafood wonton soup—the seaweed added a wonderful umami flavor that made it stand out from the typically bland local versions. The menu is extensive and offers plenty of options to keep coming back for new experiences. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely return to enjoy more of their tasty offerings.
This small restaurant is very clean and combines Western influences with traditional Chinese cuisine. The dishes are neatly presented, though the menu was a bit confusing in its categories and seemed to emphasize drinks more than food. It could serve as a great introduction to traditional Chinese dishes—like chicken balls, kung pao chicken, and spring rolls—for Canadians accustomed to Western-style Asian food.
