There isn't much middle eastern food in Chapel Street so this is a welcome addition.

The meal sta... read more Shukah is to middle-eastern food what Saigon Sally is to Asian. Good food in share sized plates.We had the chef's selection - a six course banquet. The meal started well. The dips and flat bread were really tasty ratatouille, carrots in tahini, the Armenian equivalent of babaganoush and a really tasty yogurt dish.Unfortunately for us the rest of the meal was a bit disappointing. The chicken wings were tasteless, the kofte and the ribs were bland and the rice was a bit oily. The final disappointment was there was no desert included in the banquet.We had been to Shukah before and had tried their octopus, BBQ chicken and lamb dishes. These were great and had much more complex flavours than the dishes served with the banquet.The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the staff were great. They were friendly, knew their menu and helpful.We'll be back, but I will be going a la carte so that we can chose a variety of dishes and tastes.

For our main we had the barramundi with the most sweetest peas I have ever eaten. Definitely need to visit this restaurant.
