Panda Express - Windsor
Panda Express
Description
Panda Express has garnered mixed reactions from patrons, highlighting both the restaurant's culinary offerings and service challenges. While many find the food delicious and plentiful, particularly favoring takeout, complaints about disorganized service and unhelpful staff have surfaced. Customers have experienced long wait times and encounters with unfriendly employees, detracting from the overall experience. Cleanliness and restaurant decor receive positive remarks, yet serious concerns about food quality emerge, with some dishes described as inedible. Additionally, limited parking poses a challenge during peak dining hours. Overall, while the food shows promise, significant improvements in service and organization are needed.

My wife and I visited this restaurant at 4:45 PM on April 17, 2024. We were at the end of a line of three people ahead of us. After about five minutes of waiting without any movement, it became painfully obvious that the staff was prioritizing phone-in orders. After waiting for ten minutes, with only one person from the three in front of us beginning to be served, we decided to leave. I would hardly call this place Panda Express; it feels more like Panda Prolonged due to the priority given to call-in orders.
This was the rudest experience I’ve ever had at a Panda Express. They had attitude and that is not pleasant. It’s a shame to feel this from young people in a service oriented position. Whoever trained this staff obviously is lacking the ability to do the job properly. They didn’t have all the items on the menu available. We were there Saturday 1-13-24 around 4:30. We won’t be back and will never recommend you.
The food is great and definitely worth a stop if you're hungry. It's probably better suited for takeout. While one cashier wasn't very helpful, the rest of the staff were friendly and pleasant. However, be aware that there is no parking available during lunch or dinner hours.
The service from the staff was exceptional, and the restaurant itself was very clean and nicely decorated. Unfortunately, the food was inedible. I ordered half noodles and fried rice, along with three side dishes: Firecracker Shrimp, Angus Beef, and Beijing Beef. All three sides were barely warm and almost soggy. The noodles were extremely dry, reminiscent of the Sahara Desert. The only thing I could eat was the fried rice. The shrimp was mushy and clearly overcooked. I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.
