It’s hard to find a place in Windham that serves late on a weeknight, and after a long day of antiquing in Madison-Bouckville, Tavern 23 was the perfect escape we needed. We were greeted with friendly and efficient service in a beautifully decorated space. The food was delicious; we enjoyed the tuna tartare (I could eat this every day – it was that good!), grilled asparagus, a generous shrimp cocktail, and a refreshing salad. For dessert, we savored some delightful treats from a local baker – simply scrumptious. Kudos to Tavern 23!

They would have t... read more The food is great, the service is great, the place is ALWAYS packed. Not sure there is fix for this considering the limited surrounding space. They would have to expand the building a bit and add more staff. The last three times I have come here on a week night I have had to walk away because the place was too busy.

If your in the mood for burgers, chicken cutlet sandwich, shrimp cocktail 4 pc,calamari lightly battered and deep fried or baby back ribs, try Tavern 23, this place doesn't have a large menu selection but what they offer has nice flavor and fresh ingredients. Service is a bit slow, seemed understaffed,but they try their best. A bit expensive for whats offered,compared to other windham restaurants .Make reservations open Wednesday-Saturday 4-9Parking: Free parking lot
